Although Bothell, WA was originally a farm community,  it has emerged into a strong community and a great place to live in Washington state.  Its rich history dates back even before the early 1900s.  Previously, before American settlers arrived, Bothell was home to the Native American tribe called  "the Willow People".

Despite it's small town feel, Bothell is not so small.  As a matter of fact, today Bothell proudly boasts a current population of over 47,000 residents. Spanning 13.7 square miles.  Bothell concurrently straddles the counties of King and Snohomish, even though it is one city.

 

So just where is Bothell located?

Although its may seem out of the way, Bothell, WA is only 20 miles northeast of downtown Seattle.  Bothell benefits from its convenient proximity and accessibility.  Moreover, it shares borders with Kenmore, Woodinville, and Kirkland.
While it may be true Bothell is a distance from Seattle, it offers easy access to neighboring cities and commute time to Seattle is approximately 30 minutes. Most importantly, major roads and highways connect Bothell to the surrounding areas.
These roads and highways include Interstate 405, SR 522, SR 527, SR 524, and 228th St SW.

Even though Bothell, WA may be over 100 years old, but with no surprise, its schools todays learning challenges.
These schools include elementary to high schools, private institutions, and higher education options.

Aside from work and studies, Bothell, WA is also a great place for nature enthusiasts as well.  Bothell offers a plethora of picturesque parks, which will make all you recreation seekers happy.
Bothell Landing Park, with its serene riverside trails, stands as a prime example.
Moreover, the city is home to several other parks, including, but not limited to the follow:  Stipek Park.  Cedar Grove Park.   Blyth Park.  Wayne Park Bothell.  Brickyard Road Park.  Bloomberg Hill Park.  Tall Tree Park, Royal Oaks Park.  East Norway Hill Park.  In addition to these public parks, is the Burke-Gilman Trail.
The Burke-Gilman Trail offers a scenic route for walking, jogging, and biking.  Along the Burke-Gilman Trail you will find Bothell Landing Park. This park is situated along the Sammamish River, home to scenic trails, picnic areas, and river access.
In spite of its small size, Bothell offers plenty of places to explore.

Things to do and places to go

Bothell, WA is a fantastic city to visit throughout the year.  While there are plenty of things to do in Bothell during the day, equally important are various places to go in the evening as well.
In addition, for those who like a fun dining experience, recreation, shopping and festivals, Bothell hits all the marks.  Bothell hosts various events throughout the year.  Some of these annual events include the Bothell Freedom Festival, Riverfront celebration and Music in the Park concerts.  These festivals happen during the summer months and showcase local talent.  They provide entertainment and consequently really bring the community together.

In conclusion, for all of the people and clients I have met who live in Bothell, they all call it home.  And furthermore, for those who enjoy a mix of the best things a city has to offer, Bothell should be on the top of their list.
